Hey guys, it's Jake here with etrailer. Today we have a 2021 Dodge Durango, and we're gonna be taking a look at and I'm gonna show you how to install the Draw-Tite Class IV 2 inch hitch receiver. Adding a 2 inch hitch receiver is gonna allow you to do a few different things. You can use it with accessories like a cargo carrier or a bike rack. You can take those bikes to and from the trailer, you can get some of the cargo outta your Durango and put it on a carrier, like bulkier items, like a cooler, or big luggage bags. It'll give you a little bit more space inside of your vehicle. more

Curt Class III Trailer Hitch Installation - 2023 Dodge Hornet- Video

Hello, neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer, and today we're taking a look and installing the Curt trailer hitch receiver on our 2023 Dodge Hornet. Now, this is what your hitch is gonna look like when it's installed, and the great part is it's a hidden cross tube, meaning the only thing that you're gonna see visible is gonna be the receiver tube opening and that gives you a nice clean look, but all the usability of your hitch. Now this is a 2-inch by 2-inch receiver tube opening, which is gonna be great. It's kind of the standard size for hitches. So when it comes to bike racks, ball mounts, or cargo carriers, you're gonna have tons of options available. Now, all of those accessories are gonna stay in place with a 5/8 pin and clip. more

Curt Trailer Hitch Installation - 2021 Dodge Durango- Video

Hello, neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer and today we're taking a look and installing the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver on a 2021 Dodge Durango. Now this is what your hitch is gonna look like when it's installed, and it is an exposed cross tube, so it hangs down a little bit here, and you can see the portion of the hitch, but overall it looks pretty clean. And this one, being a 2" by 2" receiver tube opening means that you're gonna have tons of options whether you're using it for bike racks, cargo carriers, a ball mount, or really any accessory that you want to load up. Now, any of those accessories are gonna stay in place with a 5/8" pin and clip. Now this doesn't come with the hitch. A lot of your accessories when you pick 'em up will have those included, but if you wanna pick up an extra or a locking version, we have plenty of those here at etrailer. more

Now this is what your hitch is gonna look like when it's installed on your Durango and it is an exposed cross tube so you are gonna be able to see the entire hitch portion that's hanging down below the rear fascia. But overall it's not too bad of a look. And this one's kind of nice. It's got a weld on tab here. So if you plan on putting trailer wiring this makes it easier to pick up a four pole or a seven pole bracket and bolt up directly. more

So we have our hitches set up here, on the top, this is the Curt Class III, in the middle, this is the Draw-Tite Class III, and on the bottom we have the Draw-Tite Class II. So between these three options, in my professional opinion, I like the Draw-Tite hitch.The Draw-Tite Class II hitch is going to have an inch and a quarter by inch and a quarter hitch receiver opening. This is going to limit you to your hitch mount accessories. Here's what our hitch is going to look like installed. As you can see it still retains a good look under the vehicle, the cross tube, you can see just a touch of it, but most of it's concealed under the bumper, still giving a good sharp look to the vehicle. This hitch is going to be great for bike racks, cargo carriers, and pulling a small trailer. Cargo racks are great because you can put your cargo behind the vehicle and leave more room for your passengers, and bike racks are even better because you don't have to try to cram the bike into the trunk or load it on the roof. more

Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Installation - 2019 Dodge Charger- Video

Clayton: Hey guys, how's it going Clayton here at etrailer.com. Today I have a 2019 Dodge Charger and I'll be walking you through how to install a Draw-Tite class 3 trailer hitch. This is what your hitch is going to look like installed, as you can see, the cross tube is still visible, but it will retain that nice factory look because it is tucked up underneath the vehicle. This hitch does have a 2" by 2" receiver tube opening, this is important because it will play well with most hitch mount accessories, such as bike racks, cargo carriers, and ball mounts. Having the ability to use a cargo carrier or a bike rack is great because it gets all of your stuff outside of your car without being in the vehicle, cramping up their passengers. So you can load your cargo on the cargo rack or your bikes on your bike rack instead of having to cram them in the trunk, backseat or sticking them on the roof.This hitch is a class 3 hitch, and it does have a 5,8" hitch pin hole, the pin and clip are not included with this hitch, but you can find them here at etrailer.com. more

Hey everybody, Ryan here at etrailer. Today on our 2012 Dodge Ram 1500, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the etrailer.com Class III 2" Trailer Hitch Receiver. So probably my favorite thing about this hitch is its appearance. It's going to be pretty low profile, and it's going to have a matte black carbide finish, and so it's really just going to blend in with a lot of the truck's plastic moldings, like our bumper plastic for example, and in my opinion that's just going to give it a really factory look. I also really like how easy this is going to be to use. The hitch pin hole, it's going to be 5/8 in size, and it's going to be about in the center of our receiver tube, so you're not going to have to reach your hand way back there to try to get it undone. more

So probably my favorite thing about this hitch is that it's going to give us a lot of performance and weight carrying capacity and still look pretty decent, that's because it is a class five. Most of the other class fives are really big and bulky and they take up a lot of space back here and just don't really look that great in my opinion. This one almost maintains more of a factory look. Now that's going to be perfect if you plan on using a super truss. So, say if you have an in-bed camper that overhangs, or if you're just wanting to tow a trailer and carry an accessory like a bike rack or a cargo carrier at the same time. This is going to allow you to do that.
